Top 3 Things To Do In Bluffton SC

Are you looking for fun things do to without going far from home? In this episode of Low Country Connect, I’m going to share three things that locals love to do in Bluffton, South Carolina. We’ll visit unique locations that embody the Low Country lifestyle so you know what life is like here.

Downtown Bluffton

The first thing locals love to do here is to visit Downtown Bluffton. They walk around, eat in restaurants, shop, and walk around the streets. There are a lot of eclectic art studios and coffee shops to have a cup of coffee or take it to go and hang out at the corner park. You can also visit the Oyster Factory, a great restaurant with plenty of fresh seafood.

The Beach

The second thing that people love to do in Bluffton is head to the beach. Whether they’re walking or riding a bike on the shore or just hanging out by the water, the beach is a local favorite. It’s hard-packed, allowing for miles of easy exploration.

True locals also avoid going to the busiest beach in Hilton Head, which would happen to be Coligny Beach. Rather, they head to the smaller Folly Field Beach or Fish Haul Beach to avoid the crowds.

Day Trips

The third favorite thing to do for locals is to take day trips. People will go to Savannah for the day, which is only about 45 minutes away. Charleston is just two hours away, or they’ll go to the Sea Islands which is not that far. You can go down there to Jekyll Island or go to Buford for the day.

All of these options are easy to do within a one to two-hour drive. You can head out, have lunch, explore, and then come back home for the night.

Exploring Bluffton

As you can see, there’s plenty to do in Bluffton for every taste. Whether you want to hang out at the beach, watch oyster shucking downtown, or take a day trip, you can easily do it from Bluffton.
